Support that’s here for you, no matter life’s weather

Neuroaffirming and LGBTQIA+ affirming clinical psychology for children, teens and young adults aged 5–30—in Red Hill, Brisbane, or from home via telehealth.

Hi, I’m Lucinda 👋

I am a neurodivergent Clinical Psychologist working with children, adolescents, young adults, and parents, with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and neurodivergence to provide them with the support they need to brave all of life’s weather.

I welcome clients from all backgrounds, cultures, genders and sexual orientations. Whether you are seeking support for long-standing concerns or simply looking for a safe, non-judgmental space to reflect and check in, I tailor therapy to meet your unique needs and goals.

If you or your child struggles with…

Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or shut down

Uncertainty around neurodiversity

Low confidence or difficulties finding the right tribe

Feeling unseen or as though no one is listening

Managing explosive emotions

… I’m here, umbrella ready

How I work

Framework

I have training in a range of different therapeutic modalities and draw on techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solutions Focused Therapy (SFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).

However, my main focus is on developing strong therapeutic relationships within a neuroaffirming framework and creating a safe space for clients to explore their issues. I am particularly passionate about creating the right therapy approach to suit each individual client’s unique needs and goals.

Neurodiverse Affirming Care

As a neurodivergent individual myself, my work is guided by a neuroaffirming framework. What this means is that I view neurodivergence as a difference—not a deficit. I take time to understand each person’s unique profile, including their strengths, challenges, and the environments they are navigating, rather than relying on one-size-fits-all approaches

I prioritise creating a space that feels safe, respectful, and accommodating for all — whether that means adjusting how we communicate, incorporating sensory supports, or allowing extra time to process and respond. Alongside this, I support families to better understand neurodivergent brains and build environments where young people can feel accepted and supported as themselves.
